Aaron Denton – Head of Behaviour for Learning
Welcome, I oversee and lead the Behaviour for Learning team which promotes high standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement of all students to support with your learning, progress and intended destination. The team is on hand to coach you through your academic studies on a one:one or group basis as well as enriching your programme by organising extra-curricular activities.

I lead on the management and development of the student engagement function across College; implementing, maintaining and developing the student behaviour and discipline system in order to promote a positive and supported learning environment.

Every full-time student has a Student Experience and Progression Coach who is responsible for the student experience within their allocated academies.
As well as monitoring student’s attendance and progress, the Student Experience and Progression Coach will coach individuals and small groups of students, covering, but not limited to:
- The links between being a student and the wider community
- Study skills support and development
- To work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to develop their skills and help them to overcome barriers to their learning and progress including exam stress management, workload, meeting deadlines.
- Review of the students’ study programme progress and intended destinations
- Coach students through developing their individual learning plan (ILP)
- Extra-curricular activities
