The course can be taken as a stand-alone unit (for those who have already achieved the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice) or as a full, three-unit qualification for those who have not yet achieved the IQA Award.
The Lead IQA qualification is designed for those who have wider IQA responsibilities and manage others (ie a team of IQAs), develop policies or manage External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits.
The units/s are delivered via bespoke sessions on a one-to-one basis via online and in-person visits, and the course is assessed via written work, observation, professional discussion and product evidence. Other assessment methods may be used if appropriate.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced IQAs to take the next step in their professional development and in mentoring other IQAs in the development of their own practice.
The qualification opens up opportunities for successful Lead IQAs to progress into EQA roles or other management roles in education, and we are looking forward to working with others who are passionate about developing effective, efficient and ethical quality assurers.
