Derby College is celebrating its highest grade percentage in five years with a 98% pass rate overall and the majority of A2 subjects recording a 100% pass rate including Humanities and Modern Foreign Language subjects.

Horticulture students at Derby College’s Broomfield Hall campus have designed and created the outline of a Remembrance and Hope Garden being built at St John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy in Kirk Hallam
The students have designed the three-part garden which will now be completed by pupils at the school ahead of the official unveiling and mass there on July 10 as part of the school’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
Level 2 and 3 Floristry students took part in the Derbyshire County Show. They were given 2 stands; each 10ft x 10ft with the themes created by the students.
At the British College’s Sport (BCS) gala dinner at St George’s Park, Derby College having won the East Midlands regional title were awarded Runner Up in the National category out of 248 other colleges.
A team of Derby College Extended Diploma in Horse Management students, based at Broomfield Hall in Morley, have won the Inter-College Equine competition hosted by Brooksby Melton College.
The team of eight, supported by fellow students, competed against teams from six other Midlands’ colleges in the annual competition.
