Three sisters who started their UK learner journey at Derby College Group (DCG) have returned to thank the lecturers who supported them.

 Students and staff at Derby College Group’s Joseph Wright Centre post-16 Academic and Arts college have raised £1,122 for three charities at their annual RAG week.

Three Derby College Group Art and Design students have been awarded bursaries from Arts Society Derby to support their move into Higher Education.

Derby College Group’s annual Peak Awards was a double celebration this year. As well as students from colleges across the group receiving awards in recognition of their hard work and achievements, DCG marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of the historic Roundhouse.

Following the success of a pilot project, students at the Joseph Wright Centre have been trained to join the peer mentor programme.

Media and Politics students from Derby College have been given rare behind the scenes access to BBC’s ‘Question Time’ which was filmed at the iconic Roundhouse.

Politics students at Derby College Group’s Joseph Wright post-16 Academic and Arts college recently spent the day at the House of Commons as part of a Parliament Education Service programme.

The achievements of students at Derby College Group’s, Joseph Wright Centre have been officially recognised at a celebration evening.

Games Development students at Derby College have designed a high quality video game as part of a project to give them real-life industry experience.

The students are based at the Joseph Wright Centre – the post-16 Academic and Arts college – and designed ‘Drive By Santa’ in just seven weeks.
