A group of 40 garden volunteers are returning to RHS Chatsworth Flower Show in June to promote the physical and mental benefits of volunteering their time to restore and maintain the historic gardens at Derby College Group’s Broomfield Hall land-based and leisure college.

Pupils from local schools competed in three different construction skills challenges organised by staff at Derby College Group (DCG).

Derby College Group (DCG) is hosting an information evening at the Roundhouse in Pride Park on Thursday March 14 between 5.30pm to 7.30pm to give young people and adults the opportunity register for a wide range of apprenticeships available now and in the coming months.

The Animal Unit at Derby College's Broomfield Hall in Morley will be getting visitors into the Halloween mood on Saturday 21st October with the chance to get up close and personal with some of the creepy crawlies who are looked after by students there.

Millipedes, cockroaches and sun beetles will be just some of the insects that visitors can handle at the family open day between 10am and 4pm as well as some of the reptiles who are resident in the animal unit with special sessions on how to care for them at home.

The Roundhouse Events team based at the historic Roundhouse, Pride Park, are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the 'Dirty Dancing' film release, which has been a firm favourite with generations of movie fans.

This Autumn is the first time the beautiful Roundhouse will be turned into an indoor cinema on Saturday October 14, giving guests a chance to cosy up inside the historic building and enjoy a cinematic experience like no other.
