Derbyshire schools join Derby College Group in celebrating International Womens Day 2019

Following the success of a pilot project, students at the Joseph Wright Centre have been trained to join the peer mentor programme.

Derby College Group’s Ilkeston Technical Skills College recently opened its doors to the local Erewash and Amber Valley community who joined staff and students for an event to promote health and wellbeing.

The Derby College Students' Union recently showcased events across the College community. 

The Derby College Group is expanding its pioneering programme that aims to broaden students’ horizons and aspirations with fun and stimulating activities.

Work to demolish two large gas-holders on Derby's Pride Park has been completed – and National Grid will soon put the site up for sale. Once a fundamental part of the city's gas network, the gas-holders have not been used since the turn of the millennium and have been dismantled to make way for regeneration of the site. At 12.8 and 11.2 metres high, their removal will change the city skyline and provide much-needed space for development.

Hair learners at Derby College's Ilkeston campus have completed an innovative project to celebrate the town's past, present and future. 

Derby College has worked with Direct Help & Advice (DHA) Training and Advice Centre on Bath Street to run an educational prevention enrichment project for learners which is funded by Derbyshire Commissioners Crime Prevention Grant.
