Students across Derby College Group (DCG) have been embracing digital platforms to showcase their work.

Derby College Group (DCG) is launching a new higher education study programme in partnership with The Open University which is designed to better prepare creative practitioners for the world of work.

Creative and Digital Multi-Media Academy students at Derby College Group’s Joseph Wright Centre have worked with a wide range of industry specialists to further the skills they will require for university and future careers.

Three Derby College Group Art and Design students have been awarded bursaries from Arts Society Derby to support their move into Higher Education.

Derby College Group’s annual Peak Awards was a double celebration this year. As well as students from colleges across the group receiving awards in recognition of their hard work and achievements, DCG marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of the historic Roundhouse.

Derby-born screenwriter Lucinda Coxon recently met with Derby College Creative Media students at the Joseph Wright Centre to talk about her career as an award-winning writer for film, television, and stage. Ms Coxon’s feature screenplays include the Oscar winning The Danish Girl, starring Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander, Wild Target, starring Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, and Rupert Grint; and The Heart of Me, starring Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, and Paul Bettany.
