Local people took the opportunity to book free taster sessions for the adult learning options available at Derby College Group’s Community College in Ilkeston.

Derby College Group (DCG) is officially launching its new adult and community venue at The Community College in Pimlico, Ilkeston, with an afternoon of free taster courses on Saturday September 19.

Nearly 700 people attended a jobs fair at Ilkeston Community College organised by Derby College Group (DCG) and Job Centre Plus on Tuesday (October 29).

Derby College Group (DCG) has teamed up with Job Centre Plus to organise a jobs fair at Ilkeston Community College on Tuesday October 29 between 10am and 2pm.

Mature students at Derby College's Ilkeston campus have raised more than £600 for Treetops Hospice in Risley. The students ran a tombola stand at the College and organised a raffle for a signed Derby County football shirt.

Mature students at Derby College's Ilkeston campus in Pimlico have collected and donated food and toiletries to Ilkeston Arena food bank.

The students are on the Access to Health Professions programme at the College with their sights set on progressing onto University and a range of careers in nursing, midwifery and other health care professions.

Ilkeston businesses and organisations have come together to make the town a more dementia friendly community.

The launch of the Erewash Dementia Action Alliance took place at the Ilkeston Campus of Derby College during Dementia Awareness Week 2016.

More than 60 jobs and apprenticeships will be on offer at an information day on Wednesday May 11 at Derby College's Ilkeston campus in Pimlico between 12 noon and 4pm.

Derby College is opening its doors to the public for an information morning on Saturday April 23 between 10am and 12 noon.

Hundreds of pounds raised by learners at Derby College in Ilkeston will help provide end of life care for the terminally ill. The pre-access learners held two charity events to raise funds for Treetops Hospice in Risley, which provides care for people who are terminally ill.
