Catering and Hospitality students at Derby College are organising a fund raising banquet inspired by the characters from Roald Dahl's books at the College's training restaurant in Pride Park on Thursday June 22.
The Engine Shed restaurant at the College's Roundhouse campus will be specially decorated with themes from the authors famous books, students will dress up in characters to serve diners.
Derby College will hold its first free event on Monday June 12 for people living with dementia and their carers.
The Dementia Café will be held at the Engine Shed Restaurant at the College's Roundhouse campus in Pride Park between 2pm and 4pm.
Nearly 140 pupils from schools across Derby and Derbyshire have graduated from vocational study programmes at Derby College.

Four members of staff from Derby College's Little Explorers Nursery at the Broomfield Hall campus in Morley are in training for a 92 mile bike ride next month to raise money for specialist hospital equipment and support at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.
Nursery Manager Kate Cox and colleagues Melissa Bryon, Heather Boddice and Rowan Moore are part of Team Lion Hart – alongside parents Roger Hart, a former Derby College employee and his wife Alice, a former student at the College. They will be joined by Su Wall another former employee of Derby College and family friend Emma Strange.
Team Lion Hart will set off from the Queen's Medical Centre at 6am on June 17 and are aiming to complete the 92 mile cycle ride by 6pm that evening.

Animal Care learners at Derby College's Broomfield Hall are preparing to release three hedgehogs back into the wild (Tuesday April 25) having spent the winter looking after them.
The three hedgehogs, which learners have named Frosty, Autumn and Fall, were all found locally last Autumn and were too small and under-nourished to hibernate.
Students on a range of vocational courses at Derby College have joined forces to raise nearly £400 for Derby Kids Camp, which provides holidays and activities for local children.

The evening was organised by the Business Studies team as part of their course. It included a pre-fashion show buffet prepared and served by the Catering and Hospital students, a raffle and then the main event which showcased fashion, make-up and hair trends from the 1900s onwards – into the future.
Styles ranged from the roaring twenties through to the futuristic styles that may be adopted over the coming decades.
Business Studies Lecturer Andrea Hickman said: "The evening was a huge success and raised a good amount of money for a very worthwhile cause."
