Nexperia Recognises Apprentice Achievements

Nexperia UK in Stockport, part of a global company specialising in semiconductor components for the automotive industry, has celebrated the achievements of apprentices who have completed their training programmes with the company.

Rag Week Total Announced

 Students and staff at Derby College Group’s Joseph Wright Centre post-16 Academic and Arts college have raised £1,122 for three charities at their annual RAG week.

Derby College Digs Deep for Children in Need

Students across Derby College have raised more than £600 for Children in Need.

The Derby College Student Union joined the Rickshaw Challenge spearheaded by ‘The One Show’ and raised £300 across all the College sites in Derby, Morley and Ilkeston.

More than 200 Derby College students at Broomfield Hall attended an event designed to highlight the dangers of driving.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service set up a simulated car crash caused by a driver texting behind the wheel.

Students across Derby College are gearing up to take part in an innovative entrepreneurial programme devised by former teacher Baasit Siddiqui who regularly appears with his brother and father in Channel 4’s ‘Gogglebox’.

Mr Siddiqui has been a star of the television show for the past six years and has set up Siddiqui Education – running inspirational workshops for schools and colleges across the UK.
