Online enrolment for full time and part time study programmes officially starts on GCSE results day – August 20.
Anyone who has already applied to College has been contacted requesting them to submit their examination results online and advising them that their enrolment will be processed remotely. A dedicated team will be processing this information and following up with the applicant if there are any queries.
Limited face to face appointments with careers or curriculum teams will be available for those needing extra support with enrolment or who are having problems accessing IT. These can be booked on a first come/first serve basis on the website.
Staff are also available remotely to have these discussions via Live Chat between 8am and 7pm or by contacting the call centre on 0800 0280289 who will direct applicants to the appropriate member of staff.
Anyone still wanting to make an application can do so via the website and there is a dedicated team processing these late applications over the next few weeks.
DCG Vice Principal Kate Martin said: “We appreciate that this is a stressful time for young people who are waiting for their GCSE results to progress onto the next stage of their education or an apprenticeship and for adults wanting to upskill.
“We have therefore developed an enrolment system which will predominantly be processed remotely in line with Government guidance but with face to face support available for those who have particularly concerns or difficulty accessing the online system.
“Our aim is to make enrolment as quick and easy as we can for both school leavers and adult learners alike and we have dedicated teams in place to support individuals through the process in these unprecedented times.”
