Safeguard Clothing Support Public Services Learners With Equipment Donation

Derby College has been provided with a sample bulletproof vest from SafeGuard CLOTHING – an international manufacturer and distributor of body armour.

The vest will be used by learners on the Uniformed Public Services course based at the Broomfield Hall campus as part of their course.

Team Manager Nick Ramsden explained: “At Derby College we are always looking to provide our students with the best possible educational experiences, and we are on constant look-out for innovative new methods of learning.

“As part of this commitment to advancing education, we are pleased to be working with SafeGuard CLOTHING.

“We have kindly been given a sample bulletproof vest from SafeGuard, which helps demonstrate to our students in the Public Services courses exactly what equipment they can expect to be working with later in their careers.

“These donations and others like them allow us to provide our students with hands-on learning experiences, furthering their education through first-hand technical analysis and industry standard information.

“The vest donated by SafeGuard, for example, will allow for role-play and detailed technical analysis for our Uniformed Public Services programmes, and is a very useful piece of equipment for our students.”

Speaking on behalf of SafeGuard, Tom Bowman explains: “These samples can provide invaluable experiences for students, and understanding the ins and outs of a vest before you have to use it makes a huge difference.”
