LATERAL FLOW TESTING
Asymptomatic testing remains important in reducing the risk of transmission of infection. However, it is not a requirement for students to have been tested before attending College.
Testing is voluntary, however, we strongly encourage all students receiving face-to-face education to test wherever it is possible to do so. This helps identify asymptomatic positive cases and support appropriate self-isolation to break the chain of transmission.
All students will be issued home test kits during induction week and encouraged to test twice weekly at home until the end of September, when this will be reviewed.
You are required to report your result (positive or negative) to the NHS Test and Trace and (positive only) to College.REPORT TO NHS TEST AND TRACE https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result REPORT TO COLLEGE DCG Covid Positive report form ON-SITE TESTING
All students are offered two on-site lateral flow device tests during the first two weeks of the new academic year.
Testing is voluntary and you will need to provide your consent, see links section for consent form.
Tests are simple to carry out and the results are returned in just 30 minutes.
If you receive a positive result, we will advise you on what to do next.
