Course Information for Students

The  welding taster courses are for beginners and designed to introduce you to the world of fabrication and welding.

Learners will be given the opportunity to learn the basic skills of metal joining and to make and take home a stunning garden ornament.

In this course the learner will use a variety of different thicknesses and processes to join these materials.

The course has been designed by the company Metal Manipulation based in Staunton Harold, who manufacture items suitable for the domestic household market. The course will be delivered by Metal Manipulation in partnership with DCG.

This course has no entry requirements

You will learn basic welding skills to enable you to produce a product.

Delivery is on-site in the Welding workshop located at the Roundhouse campus

You will require acceptable PPE. Protective clothing and footwear

Assessment through observation.

Students can progress to an Advanced course
