Three Day Recruitment For Blue Mountain Young Persons Services
Blue Mountain Homes Limited, in collaboration with Derby College group, are offering a 3-day pre-recruitment course on the 14th February 2022. This will be at Derby College at Ilkeston and comes with a guaranteed interview on completion of the course for a Children’s Residential Care Worker position within the company.
Course Information for Students
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at anyone who is interested in working with young people in care homes.
This is a three day course to inform you about the position with guest speakers from the Blue Mountain organisation. With full attendance of the three days you will be guaranteed an interview on the third day.
The course runs from 9.30 to 2.30 and will be based at the Ilkeston campus of Derby College.
The course will consist of introductions to…
- Blue Mountain Homes.
- The role of the Children’s Residential Care Worker including training requirements.
- Health & Safety.
- Safeguarding Children & Young People.
- Equality & Diversity to include Young People’s needs and conditions.
- Key Skills in Residential Childcare
- Employability Skills. (developing your CV)
If successful, this will lead onto an apprenticeship within the company once you have passed the probation period.
You will need to attend the whole three days to receive an interview with Blue Mountain.
The course is designed to inform you about the position at Blue mountain and what is involved.
We have guest speakers from both Blue mountain and Derby College.
We will also support you with updating your CV or developing one if you don’t have a CV in place.
You will need to have a positive attitude when applying especially if this area is new to you as a job/career.
You will need to also have;
- Good communication skills
- Good timekeeping skills
- Good English skills.
Times of the days are 9.30-2.30.
