Who is this course for?
This is a six-week introductory course which encourages students to express their thoughts, feelings and opinions through poetry. It allows students to experiment with poetry writing. There is a different central theme each week.
There is no entry requirement, although an interest in poetry is an advantage.
What will you learn?
- Examining poems around central themes
- Experimenting with writing personal and thematic writing around several different themes
- Analysing different styles of poetry
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered on-site.
What will you need to bring with you?
There are no additional costs.
How will you be assessed?
Students will be formatively assessed against personally set targets around poetry analysis and writing.
You could consider English Literature/Language GCSE.
The ability to express one’s emotions and feelings forms part of a range of customer facing roles.
