This Level 1 Award is designed to introduce you to the mechanical aspect of servicing and repairing vehicles and to provide you with the skills to apply for work in the independent garages in this sector.

You need to have an interest and passion for the vehicle industry and be keen to learn in a hands-on environment.

The qualification for this course is the ABC Level 1 Award in Motor Vehicle Studies and will include topics/units covering:

  • Health and Safety for Motor Vehicle Studies
  • Introduction to Vehicle Inspection
  • Introduction to Vehicle Wheels and Tyres
  • Introduction to Vehicle Exhaust Systems

This course will be delivered on-site.

You need overalls and safety boots as you will be studying in a practical environment.

Assessment will be through a range of activities including:

  • Written task sheets
  • Reports
  • Group discussions
  • Presentations
  • Professional discussion

Completion of this course will give you a vital insight into the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair industry and will support the application and interview process to help you gain employment with a local/regional employer in the Fast Fit sector.
