Intermediate Diploma in Beauty Therapy – Part Time Level 2

This course is designed to kick-start your career and provide the essential practical skills and knowledge which will equip you to progress to a role in the beauty therapy industry or to higher level study.

You will learn how to consult with clients and perform facial and skin analysis treatments, hair removal, manicure, pedicure, eye treatments and make up. In parallel, you will develop your communication and customer service skills, all of which are valued highly by employers.

As part of your studies, you will be required to support the development of your skills and behaviours to meet industry standards.

You need to be highly motivated and demonstrate a keen interest in your chosen subject. Offers of a place on the course are dependent on your qualifications and practical aptitude. You will need:

• English GCSE (grade 4 or above)

You will have an interview and initial assessment.

You will learn how to consult with clients and perform facial and skin analysis treatments, hair removal, manicure, pedicure, eye treatments and make up. You will also develop your knowledge and understanding of health and safety and promote additional services or products to clients. You will also cover underpinning knowledge and anatomy of the hands, face and feet.

This course will be delivered on-site on Wednesdays 10-1 and Thursdays 10-1.

A kit and uniform are required for the programme.  Details will be available from the curriculum staff during your interview.

You will have practical assessments, tests and assignments to test your theory knowledge and you will collate a portfolio of evidence.

Further study

You can progress to a Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification.
