Charlie Woodcock
Charlie lands dream hairdressing apprenticeship with Toni & Guy
My experience of the Derby College hairdressing course was extremely good. The main reason for saying that is my tutor Rhiannon. She was brilliant – in fact all my tutors were great – very supportive. They were always approachable and happy to answer any questions.

Danielle Fretwell
Former salon Saturday girl Danielle becomes hair
I go to college on day release every Monday and work in the salon the rest of the week. It's a good course and I put into practice what I've learned at college when I'm at work. Marissa did her hairdressing training at Derby College and she now runs her own business, so I thought it would be the right place for me too. I'm the third apprentice from Derby College to be taken on by Effleurage.

Eleesha Hoult
Former hairdressing student Eleesha passes on skills to new learners
I also like helping train the work experience people we get from Derby College. I was fortunate enough to get this opportunity and I can relate to many of them. It's an absolute pleasure to pass on my experience and skills and I'm looking forward to working with the new students in September. Working with them also helps us. Our industry is always changing and introducing new ideas so seeing what the young students are learning now helps to keep us fresh.
