Course Information for Students

The Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells is aimed at learners who already have knowledge and skills in fitness instruction to a professionally competent level. It will enable you to plan and deliver safe, effective kettlebell exercises and training sessions. 

Evidence of a Level 2 Gym Instruction qualification is required prior to starting the course.

Courses are due to be delivered at Broomfield Hall on:

Wednesday: 29/11/23 – 06/12/23

Wednesday: 13/03/24 – 20/03/24

Wednesday: 26/06/24 – 3/07/24

The course costs £127.50

A minimum of five candidates is required for each course to run.

You need a suitable Level 2 Fitness Instructing qualification such as the Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing. Some experience of kettlebell training is useful.

The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential. Therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary.

It also involves an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 2.

This qualification comprises two units:

Unit 1 – Planning a Kettlebell Exercise Session

Unit 2 – Instructing a Kettlebell Exercise Session

This course will be delivered on-site.

There are no additional costs involved.

You will be assessed through the completion of worksheets and a formal observation of a kettlebell training session.

This qualification provides progression to Level 3 qualifications in Personal Training and can also provide progression to courses in other related areas such as Sports Massage. You could also consider the:

  • Level 2 Award in Safeguarding
  • Level 2 Award in Smoking Cessation
  • Level 2 Award in Mental Health
  • Level 2 Award in Nutrition, Performance and Healthy Eating
