Who is this course for?
The course is designed to inform and inspire beginners who are new to video production and editing.
Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required and you do not need to have any experience with video production or editing.
You will be equipped with the basic skills you need, from organising media to finalising a project, with detailed instructions covering every step in between.
What will you learn?
You will learn how to edit short form video content including:
- how to navigate your way around the Premiere Pro interface
- how to correctly set up the timeline for projects to enable you to import and organise your video files and assets
- how to cut a clip and piece together clips in the timeline
- incorporating copyright-free audio to your video
- adding text/titles, transitions and effects
- manipulating clip speed and correcting colour
- how to export your video to share on social media
How will you learn?
All sessions will take place face to face, where you will be guided through a series of practical tasks.
What will you need to bring with you?
Full access to Adobe Creative Cloud will be provided for the duration of the course. You are encouraged to supply your own video content to be used during sessions.
Please note: the course is focused on the basics of editing video content. Sessions will not be dedicated to filming video content.
How will you be assessed?
No formal assessments will take place.
You will be guided through sessions to create a short promotional video based on practical exercises.
