This course provides an introduction to working with people in an Early Years setting. It will develop your skills for progression to further learning and ultimately employment.
It is made up of units providing a broad introduction to working with children. There is also a focus on key transferable skills.
All applicants are assessed on an individual basis and an interview is essential. A GCSE profile of -E grades is desirable.

Developing your maths and English skills will support your main study programme, help your future progression and enhance your life skills.
There is continual assessment using a variety of methods such as written assessments, presentations, displays and practical activities.
You may be able to progress to a Level 1 course in Health and Social Care or Early Years - subject to good attendance, a good work rate and a positive attitude to study. You can also advance to further training opportunities.
You can consider working with people - either children or adults - in roles such as care assistant or children's practitioner.
