Course Summary

This qualification is for students who would like to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding to progress to a career as air cabin crew.

The course includes visits to airports and guest speakers.


Entry requirements

  • Introductory Certificate in Travel and Tourism


  •  GCSEs at grade D or above in English and Maths (grade 3) plus two GCSEs at grade D (3)

It is essential that you show a commitment to maintaining high standards of attendance and meeting deadlines.


Course Content

The mandatory units within this course are:

  • Role of the Air Cabin Crew
  • Airline Emergency Procedures

You will also undertake maths and English plus work experience.

In addition, you will go on a two-day overnight stay at an airline cabin crew training centre.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via practical tasks, assignments and tests.

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

All students are required to wear the standard uniform which you can order  during enrolment. The cost is approximately £135, including a jacket, skirt for ladies and trousers for men, a shirt and either a tie or scarf. 

You may be able to secure financial support towards the cost of the uniform.

There will also be a charge for trips and visits of approximately £150.

What can I do after this course?

Further Study

You can consider advancing to the Level 3 Certificate in Aviation; Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism; or a programme featuring a EuroCamp placement.



You can advance to a range of customer service job roles in the aviation sector.
