This evening course has been designed to further develop your skills in the art of Computer Aided Design (CAD). Using state-of-the-art software packages including Solidworks and Autocad, we will take you through the more in-depth processes of CAD with the objective of you achieving the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Computer Aided Design (Parametric Modelling).
The course will run for 30 weeks and involves 2.5 hours per week.
A Level 1 qualification in CAD is essential for this course, along with good computer skills and the ability to interpret data and drawings.
This course provides students with the skills and knowledge to design objects in either 2D or 3D at Level 2. It allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the broad engineering and manufacturing sectors.
The course is assessed via an assignment/project.
Progression to the Level 3 Award in Computer Aided Design will be possible upon achieving this qualification. A CAD-based career may also be an option to consider.
