Course Summary

This course is for anyone interested in a role as a volunteer in a children's care or education setting.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged over 19.

Course Content

This short course will explore the types of volunteering roles you may wish to undertake, as well as the rewards and benefits of volunteering.

It will also begin to look at helpful topics, such as children's development and behaviour, to help you support those you might be working with. It is excellent preparation for a volunteering role.


How will I be assessed?

There is no formal assessment but you will have the opportunity to build a journal to reflect on your learning.

There are no additional costs and no additional equipment is required.

What can I do after this course?

On completion of this short taster course, you may wish to explore further education/training in working with the care and education of children, or may wish to seek a voluntary role in the care/education sector.
