Course Summary

This Certificate enables you to understand the roles and responsibilities involved if you wish to offer a professional pet sitting service. There is a focus on animal welfare.
 

Entry requirements

You need basic literacy and numeracy skills, plus some knowledge of animal care.

Course Content

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a professional pet sitter relating to the client's property and animals
  • Understand the requirements of current legislation and codes of practice relating to pet sitting
  • Know how to deal with problems and emergencies in relation to the client's property
  • Know how to deal with problems and emergencies sustained to an animal and to oneself while pet sitting

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through one-to-one practical assessment, with oral questioning.

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

You will be required to supply your own stationery.
