This Certificate enables you to understand the roles and responsibilities involved if you wish to offer a professional pet sitting service. There is a focus on animal welfare.
You need basic literacy and numeracy skills plus some knowledge of animal care.
Understand the roles and responsibilities of a professional pet sitter relating to the client's property and animals
Understand the requirements of current legislation and codes of practice relating to pet sitting
Know how to deal with problems and emergencies in relation to the client's property
Know how to deal with problems and emergencies sustained to an animal and to oneself while pet sitting
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through one-to-one practical assessment, with oral questioning.
Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?
You will be required to supply your own stationery.
