This is a Level 5 Diploma which consists of two main pathways:
Children and Young People's pathway
You should have a good level of English and should be working in a management position to be able to achieve this qualification.
You may be responsible for running a facility that provides services for vulnerable children, adults or both. You might be an assistant or deputy manager, or a manager who has not yet achieved a recognised vocational qualification at this level.
The Level 5 Diploma consists of two main pathways:
Children and Young People's Pathway
Children's and young people's residential management
Children's and young people's management
Children's and young people's advanced practice
Adults residential management
Adults advanced practice
You will also study:
Using and developing systems that promote communication
Promoting professional development
Championing equality, diversity and inclusion
Developing health and safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices in health and social care or children's and young people's settings
Working in partnership in health and social care, and children's and young people's settings.
How will I be assessed?
Learners will be assessed mainly through a portfolio of evidence, which must be gathered in the learner's workplace. For knowledge-only units, learners will be assessed either in or out of the workplace.
Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?
There is a £2,000 cost for the course or you should have a student loan in place before enrolment.
