Aimed at learners who are working in healthcare settings such as hospitals, GP practices, medical centres and nursing homes, this course enables you to develop knowledge, understanding and skills to progress your career in the health sector.
You need to be working in paid employment in a healthcare environment as a healthcare worker.
You will take the Level 2 Diploma in a chosen health pathway.
How will I be assessed?
You will attend fortnightly class sessions with the tutor to fulfil the knowledge evidence requirements of the programme. You will be allocated an assessor who will visit you in the workplace to action plan your progress, observe your practice and assess your portfolio of work.
Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?
The cost is £1,200 for the Diploma.
What can I do after this course?
Upon completion of the programme, you can progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship or the Level 3 Diploma in Health.
You can advance your career in roles such as healthcare support service worker, ward clerk or medical/health records clerk.
