This Level 3 AAT qualification, recognised and sought-after by employers, will introduce aspiring accountants to more complex accounting tasks.
It offers you a route to professional status: when employers see MAAT after your name (after successful completion of the Level 4 AAT along with relevant experience), they know they are dealing with a credible professional with up-to-date skills and knowledge.
You will learn how to prepare the final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, how to maintain cost accounting records, and how to prepare reports and returns.
You will need to possess the AAT Level 2 in Accounting.
You will study the following units:
Accounts preparation - incorporating recording and accounting for non-current asset and advanced bookkeeping, including final adjustments ready for preparation of financial statements
Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
Costs and revenues
Professional ethics in accounting and finance

You can progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Advanced AAT Accountancy.
