Course Summary

This qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in adult care and young people's settings. The course has a choice of three pathways depending on your job role.

 

 

Entry requirements

You need GCSE grade C or 4-9. Alternatively you will need to complete Functional Skills at Level 2. You should also have a good standard of English.

You should be working in a position of manager or supervisor, should be self-motivated and should be willing to undertake independent study.

 

Course Content

This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in adult health and young people's services. It has three pathways depending on your job role and covers:

  • Safeguarding and protection
  • Managing care services
  • Supporting development and partnership working
  • Contributing to broader activities such as change programmes and recruitment
  • Complying with quality systems and continuously improving quality
  • Developing and carrying out policy
  • Promoting and developing best practice
  • Care management
  • Maths and English Level 2 Functional Skills

The apprenticeship includes 20% off-the-job training and an end point assessment.
