This apprenticeship provides a solid foundation of skills for anyone who has autonomy within an administrative role. You’ll be equipped with the knowledge and understanding you need to enhance your role, profile and status within any type of business or organisation.
You will need GCSE grades 9-4 in English and Maths and will require an interview before enrolling on this course. In addition to having good literacy and numeracy skills, you will need to be well-motivated and self-disciplined.
There are five mandatory units:
Communicate in a business environment
Manage personal and professional development
Principles of business communication and information
Principles of administration
Principles of business
There are also optional units you will complete.
The apprenticeship covers:
A Level 3 Technical Certificate (embedded within the qualification)
Functional Skills at Level 2 in Mathematics, English and ICT (if applicable)
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (embedded within the qualification)
Employment Rights and Responsibilities (delivery method to be agreed with your assessor - it could be via a separate workbook or additional unit)
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed on and off the job where you will be given dedicated mentors to support and guide you through your qualification. There is in-house training on a day release basis to gain the Technical Certificate and Functional Skills.

What can I do after this course?
You may wish to consider other Level 3 qualifications in fields such
as customer service and management or other routes of self-development.
The course will help you to advance your career in an office or
administrative environment and to broaden your role to include
elements such as team leading and customer service.
