Course Summary

Design and create some unique silver or mixed metal jewellery pieces with a Derbyshire jewellery design maker. 

Using basic silversmith techniques, you will have the opporuntiy to design and create your very own bespoke jewellery such as a pendant, cufflinks or sterling silver earrings.

Entry requirements

This experience is for adults aged 19+.

There are no formal entry requirements and we welcome beginners who have little or no experience. You will receive full guidance and support throughout.

Course Content

Over the duration of the course, you will learn basic silversmith techniques to
create sterling silver and/or mixed metal bespoke jewellery pieces. 

We will introduce you to specialist jeweller's equipment and its correct use, ready for you to design and create some unique jewellery that will be a talking point forever!

How will I be assessed?

Group sizes will be capped at four students to ensure that you make the best possible progress.

The facilitator will provide regular supportive and constructive feedback so you can create that special jewellery piece.

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

Specialist equipment will be provided.

Each student will be given a material pack including a stirling silver/metal sheet of choice. Additional materials, including chains, can be purchased for a small fee.
