Course Summary

Have you always wanted to make your own clothes or master those finishing skills? Perhaps you have a recent purchase which requires some tweaking or extra sparkle? If this sounds like you, our introductory course on dressmaking will help get you up and running!

Entry requirements

This course is open to both men and women above the age of 19.

No prior experience is required. Basic sewing machine knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Course Content

Our specialist facilitator will be there every step of the way to guide you through your individual projects and for added inspiration. We will be sure to cover the basics - from measurements, cutting and using commercial patterns to buying the correct size pattern and using different types of fabric.

How will I be assessed?

There are no assessment criteria - just observe, have a go and enjoy!

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

Sewing machines are available for this course.
