The ‘Adult Riding Camp’ is designed as an introduction to horse ownership or a chance to spend a little more time with your favourite horse. You can bring your own horse with you if you wish or use one of ours.
You will need to be able to walk, trot and canter confidently.
You will get involved with the care of your horse and ‘muck in' with stable duties. You will have a riding lesson twice a day and a stable management lecture each day. The weekend will end in a little show.
There will be friendly and constructive feedback during sessions in all areas of the course. You will be asked questions to secure your knowledge and will have the opportunity to discuss topics and receive answers to any questions you may have.

A former Derby College student is now supervisor at the horse yard where she first honed her equine management skills. Lauren Morley, 26, attended Broomfield College as a teenager and now also lecturers a new generation of students. Lauren now hopes to use her skills in the future to set up her own show jumping yard. Her career is underpinned by her two year BTEC National Diploma in Horse Management (level 3).
