Prince's Trust Courses
Ready for 60 days that will change your life? Take up the challenge at Derby College with a unique personal development programme from the Prince's Trust.
Almost anyone aged between 16 and 25 can take part in the exciting 12-week Prince's Trust Team programme, an experience which will enable you to develop your communication, leadership and teamwork skills through projects in the community.
It's a full-time intensive challenge designed to bring out the best in you. You'll build your confidence and motivation, gain work experience, and have the chance to achieve nationally-recognised qualifications while making a real difference in the community.
Each team consists of around 15 people between the ages of 16 and 25 from various backgrounds and abilities - all with their own agenda about what they want to achieve from this experience. It doesn’t matter if you are employed or unemployed, a school-leaver or a graduate. You will all work together in an informal 'team room' environment.
We aim to include two employed people on each team. If you are unemployed, your benefits will not be affected. Throughout the programme, you will have the chance to focus on job search activities and work towards a City and Guilds Certificate in Personal, Teamwork and Community Skills, including First Aid and PSD units.
Prince's Trust Courses run 52 weeks of the year. Find out more by contacting The Prince's Trust Team at Derby College on 0115 919 0192 or 0115919 0913.

Prince's Trust
Before the Prince's Trust I was studying at Derby College doing a Level 1 Animal Care Diploma. At this time in my life I went off the rails and ended up doing silly things with my life, and ended up being transferred to the Prince's Trust.
