Welcome to the home page of the Corporation of Derby College. This section of our website is for anyone seeking further information about the workings of the Corporation.
The Corporation is the Governing Body with overall responsibility for the way the College functions. It oversees the quality of the service that the College offers to learners and the local community. It also steers the College’s strategic direction and is responsible for its financial health. The workings of the Corporation are laid down in the College’s Instrument and Articles of Government.
The Governing Body comprises people from a wide range of backgrounds and reflects the community which the College serves, including staff and learners. Find out more about the current members of the Governing Body in our Who’s Who? section.
Meetings of the Corporation are held in private and attended by the Governors and members of the College’s senior management team, together with any other persons specifically invited. You can access minutes of meetings of the Governing Body and its committees from this site.
