A-Levels provide one of the main academic routes into higher education and employment. AS Levels demand more in-depth study than GCSEs and place greater emphasis on traditional academic study skills.
At Derby College, AS and A2 levels take one year each to complete via full-time study. AS subjects are normally studied in Year 1, followed by A2 in Year 2, with progress dependent upon achieving a grade D or above at AS level.
Key skills development is integral to all the courses. All students are assigned a personal tutor and attend weekly tutorials to support their academic and personal development.
